Filtration: 2019 Rosés
We’ll be filtering our two Rosés (of Grenache and Mourvèdre) in preparation for their bottling. Most of the work in filtration is setting up (or “seasoning”) the filter and its filter pads; once that’s done, filtering the wine itself is pretty quick. But expect a lot of standing around…
Note: we can start as early as 4pm if all are amenable.
- Need 2 people total (including Matt)
- Assume 2+ hours
- Bring a mask you’re comfortable wearing for that long
- Bring rubber boots and clothing you can get a little winey
COVID-19 NOTE: to stay as safe as possible, we’ll try our best to follow established guidelines: wear masks throughout; try to stay 6′ apart whenever possible; use as few people as possible; require anyone with a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or sudden loss of smell, to stay home. We’ll keep the back door open for a little air circulation. Still, there are no guarantees: if you have any reservations (totally understandable), please don’t sign up for this event.
