2012 Labourier

Consensus: Drinking at what we think is its prime.
Les Garagistes Labourier Côtes du Rhône style blend
    EMV & Sugarloaf
  • ALCOHOL: 14.5%
  • More oak in the nose, and more tannins, and like the Peug, showing bigger than the 2013. Overall, its nose is more appealing (more lovely sweet fruit, though not a lot of complexity), but I just think it’s too hot alcohol-wise, throwing it out of balance. It’ll be fun to drink with a big, winter meal, but it’s just a bit ham-fisted, at least right now, I think.
