Les Wines

We source fruit from top notch vineyards in Eastern Washington and the Dundee Hills here in Oregon. Historically, those have included Elephant Mountain Vineyards in the Yakima Valley, Coyote Canyon Vineyards in Horse Heaven, Klipsun Vineyards in Red Mountain, and Abbey Ridge and Oracle Vineyards in the Dundee Hills. We produce about 80 cases a year, not a single one of which is for sale. Those wines have included:

  • Peugeot, a top-secret blend of Cab, Cab Franc, and Merlot
  • Labourier, our Côtes du Rhône blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre
  • Lambretta, our “Super Tuscan” blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Cabernet Franc
  • Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Merlot
  • Pinot Noir
  • Gamay Noir
  • Syrah
  • Mourvedre
  • Grenache
  • Tempranillo
  • Sangiovese
  • Rosé of one or more of the above
  • Viognier
  • Roussanne
  • Pinot Gris
  • Chardonnay
  • Pinot Blanc

Our packaging has been highlighted in Communication Arts.

In 2015, we entered six wines in the Oregon State Amateur Wine Competition, and we’re exceptionally proud to say that all won silver medals except one – which won gold. Those wines were:

  • 2012 Peugeot: Silver Medal
  • 2012 Sangiovese: Silver Medal
  • 2012 Labourier: Silver Medal
  • 2013 Tempranillo: Silver Medal
  • 2013 Syrah: Silver Medal
  • 2013 Mourvèdre: Gold Medal

All of our red wines are aged about a year in either stainless steel or neutral French (or Hungarian) oak, except Syrah and Peugeot, which we give a little extra time to think things over before bottling at the 18-month mark. All of our wines are fermented with “wild” or native yeast – that is, no industrially cultured yeast is added, so the ferment rides on the yeast that live in the winery and come in on the grapes themselves. We bottle our reds fined but unfiltered; we filter our whites for stability and clarity. All are damn yummy, and again, not for sale.
