Blending Trials begin by assessing the components that may or may not play a role in our 2023 Peugeot: Cab Sauv, Franc, Merlot, and Syrah. Then we try a few possible blends of those 4 wines, trying to find a sum greater than the parts in this year’s Peugeot blend. Mmmmm.

Sure, it’s a little geeky, and for sure, it’s not the party that bottling is. But this is one of my favorite activities of the year: there’s simply no better way to get a better picture of our 2023 wines, and to exercise our flawless senses of taste to create the perfect Peugeot.
