Good balance, nice richness, Cab Sauv dominates
A bit darker than the 2013, and more alcohol and oak to boot. Not over the top, but more power there overall for sure. Even though Cab Franc was 50% of the blend, the influence of the Cab Sauv (that special eucalyptus/green pepper oiliness) dominates, which isn’t a bad thing in the least. Good balance, nice richness. I think the 2013 is ultimately a better wine, but right now, the 2012 beats it.
